The Government of Assam has invited bids for the supply and installation of solar home lighting systems for scheduled caste (SC) beneficiaries in Assam on a rate contract basis for a period of one year
The last date to submit the bids is December 24, 2020, and the opening of bids will also take place on December 24, 2020
Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ?500,000 (~$6,782) as the earnest money deposit (EMD). The invitation of bids will be open to manufacturers, brand owners, authorized dealers, and distributors
To participate in the bidding process, the bidder will have to submit its dealership or distributorship certificate from the concerning manufacturing unit. The bidder should have experience in supplying and installing any solar work of a minimum of ?10 million (~$135,640) in a single work order
Regarding the financial criteria, the bidder should have an average annual turnover of ?70 million (~$949,481) for the last three financial years
As per the tender documents, the delivery of all goods covered by an order should have to be initiated within 90 days from the order’s issuance and completed within 150 days from the order’s date
The indigenously manufactured solar array must not be less than 250 Wp, and solar modules should be of the rating 12V/24V. The light sources should be white LED up to a maximum of 7 W, and light output should be a minimum of 25 Lux when measured at the periphery of 2.5-meter diameter from a height of 2.5 meters
